o Fill out the form completely (It’s long!).
o Submit the form by midnight, Sept. 9.
Please do not delay in completing your registration form!
o Watch for a confirmation email (Sept 9–10) that assigns you a specific audition time and audition number on Sept. 11.
o Arrive at Dance Prism’s Studio at least 15 minutes prior to that time to check in and warm up (no warm up in the audition).
o You will receive an email within about 10 days following the audition indicating whether
Dance Prism is able to offer you a role, and if so, tentative casting for it.

Dancer Information
Touring vs Regional Casts
Touring Cast dancers:
are cast in all Dance Prism Nutcracker performances of the current season
rehearse at Dance Prism’s West Concord studio on weekends
are eligible for selection as needed for other season productions.
Regional cast dancers (age 7–18) perform in one city only, rehearse locally once weekly.
This year opportunities for Regional Cast auditions and performances
may be significantly limited.
Who Can AuditionWho Can Audition
o Auditions are open to all ballet-trained dancers age 7 & over. Casting is not related to studio affiliation; further, no dancer will
ever be asked to participate in the classes/activities of any studio other than
that at which he/she regularly studies.
o Every role is truly a level-appropriate dancing role; therefore at least
elementary training is required.
o Note that adult dancers (18+) are accepted for Touring Cast only.
Audition Dress
Females: solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a bun.
Males: black, white, or grey tights, white close fitting tee shirt or leotard.
No warmup garments except in cases of injury. Short skirts acceptable for
adults only.
Audition Levels & Times for TC Dancers
Pre-Registered dancers will be assigned an audition time on Sept 11
within the following time blocks:

o Level I: 9:00am–10:00am
ballet students age 7–9, male & female,
o Level II: 11:00am–1:00pm
ballet students age 9–12, male & female, incl. any student under 5’ tall;
dancers over 5’ tall should be prepared to stay for Level III if requested.
o Level III: 2:00pm+
dancers over 5’ tall should be prepared to stay for Level III if requested.
o Level III: 2:00pm+
intermediate students, age 12 through adult, male & female.
advanced dancers, 12 through adult, male & female;
advanced dancers, please be prepared to stay for Level IV if requested.
o Level IV: following Level III advanced dancers, male & female, women on pointe,
as selected from Level III. .
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to assigned audition time to check in & warm up.
Dancer / Family Commitments
o Dancers, and the families of under age dancers, must commit to availability for the full run, with the exception of working professionals.
o No fees (audition or performance) are charged to dancers at any time.
o Dancers must supply dance shoes & tights of the color and style stipulated.
o Limited stipends available for dancers of professional level.
o Professional level dancers please email in advance in addition to Pre-Registering: DancePrismInformation@gmail.com.
* Some vaccine exemptions for valid medical and religious reasons may be considered
with valid documentation, weekly testing, and the dancer/parent acknowledgement that significant conditions and limitations may apply.

Parking for the Concord Audition
There is no on-site parking at Dance Prism’s rehearsal studio. There is, however ample parking in the area. If you are new
to the space, please watch for Dance Prism’s volunteer parking attendants who will direct you.
Dance Prism’s studio is on the corner of Main Street and Derby Street, a residential side
street. Please avoid driving on Derby Street to limit traffic congestion in the
area.
